Who we are

Star Shining Facility Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 99 632 208 434) (“we”, “us”) provides commercial and facility cleaning across Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Enquiry and quote details you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number, suburb, the services and property details you select, your message, and any photos you attach.
• Job applicationsmade through our Careers page: your name, email address, phone number, home postcode, how far you can travel, when you can work, whether you hold an ABN, a police check, a Working with Children Check and a driver's licence, and what you tell us about your experience.
• How you found us: the page you enquired from, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you arrived on, so we know which advertising works.
• Usage data collected by analytics (see below), such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location.

You can browse the site without giving us any personal information. If you choose not to provide the details marked as required on a form, we won't be able to respond to that enquiry.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry, arrange a walkthrough and prepare a quote.
• To consider you for cleaning work and contact you when a suitable site comes up.
• To deliver and manage cleaning services you engage us for.
• To understand how the website is used and improve it.
• To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't add enquirers to a marketing list without asking.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run the website and handle enquiries. They process information on our behalf and under our instructions:

• Vercel — hosts the website and provides cookieless web analytics.
• Resend — delivers enquiry emails to our team.
• Google — Google Analytics (usage measurement) and Google Maps (the map on our contact page, loaded only when you ask for it).
• Supabase — our internal systems that record enquiries and, for our staff, the team portal.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia (including the United States). We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect it to a standard consistent with Australian privacy law. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and measure how the site is used, including which buttons and forms lead to enquiries. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting service, and then as required for our business and legal records. Photos attached to quote requests are kept only as long as needed to prepare the quote.

Job applications are kept on file so we can contact you when work comes up near you. Only our office team sees them. You can ask us to update or delete your application at any time by emailing contact@starshining.com.au.

Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with providers that maintain industry-standard security controls. Access within our business is limited to staff who need it to respond to you.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing contact@starshining.com.au. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
